Remove photo backgrounds with local AI and preview a transparent PNG.
Choose an image to remove its background
Your image stays on your device. AI mode works best with a clear photographic subject and can retain enclosed logo backgrounds. Select background areas gives you control over those spaces. The checkerboard in the preview shows transparent areas.
How to use the background remover
Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP photo and choose AI subject detection to isolate its main subject. Use Solid color for matching backgrounds connected to image edges. For logos with enclosed spaces, choose Select background areas, click each background region outside or inside its border, and adjust color tolerance. Undo last selection removes a mistaken pick. Press Remove background, compare the original and transparent PNG previews, then choose Download result.
Example
Upload a portrait, run AI subject detection, and inspect the subject against the checkerboard before downloading. For a logo in a circle, select one background point outside the circle and another inside it, leaving outlined letters unselected.
Good to know
Photos are processed locally. AI mode downloads a small model and runtime on first use; fine hair, transparent objects, and busy scenes can need further editing. AI can retain the interior of a badge. Selected-area removal follows connected color matches; check thin outlines, glow, and tiny gaps carefully.
