FFT Frequency Explorer

Compute a radix-2 FFT for real samples and preview the amplitude spectrum.

Processing stays in your browser. Requires a power-of-two length from 2 to 1024. Uses a rectangular window and one-sided amplitudes; leakage and aliasing depend on the input signal.

How to use the fft frequency explorer

Compute a radix-2 FFT for real samples and preview the amplitude spectrum. Complete the samples json array, sample rate (hz) fields above, or upload a UTF-8 text file for samples json array. Choose Run tool, review the output, then copy or download the result.

Example

At sample rate 8 Hz the example peaks at 2 Hz.
